Heerups Have

The garden of artist Henry Heerup was the birthplace of the majority of his art, and it is in many ways also synonymous with Heerup himself. The installation explores Heerups garden as a concept and backdrop for his work. Heerups garden is at the heart of the exhibition HEERUP DANE FÆ at CHPEA museum in Herning.

The small room with the yellow carpet is an exhibition of Heerups illustrations on sold products. The free-standing wood pile in the large room is a piedestal for Heerups famous sculpture “Døden Høster”. Every single piece of wood in the exhibition is recycled.

This project is a collaboration between Bureau Detours and Haack_Marteinsson.
